Scientia applies the following Creative Commons license to all articles published in the journal:

Creative Commons License CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 DEED (Attribution – Non-Commercial – No Derivatives 4.0 International), available here.

This license permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of published articles, and to use them for any other lawful purpose, provided that proper attribution is given, and that the content is not used for commercial purposes or modified in any way.

Translations of articles originally published in Scientia must be explicitly authorized by the journal prior to their publication in any venue. Copyright for the journal’s visual design, website layout, and PDF issues remains the property of Scientia.

This license applies to all issues and all articles of Scientia, accessible via the journal's homepage and archived at the National Central Library of Florence (Magazzini Digitali), unless otherwise specified for translations, republications, or content subject to third-party rights.

Free Publication & Intellectual Property Rights

Scientia provides immediate and completely free open access to its contents and does not charge authors any article processing or publication fees. As a Gold Open Access journal, Scientia guarantees its authors:

Free and unrestricted access to articles for all users

Increased visibility and scholarly impact

Clearly stated and globally valid Creative Commons licensing

The intellectual property of published articles is transferred to Scientia for a period of twenty years, as stipulated in the copyright agreement signed by authors at the time of publication.

Pre-publication sharing of submitted articles is not permitted.
